Blessings

God has blessed my life so much. Perhaps someone might be thinking, how she can think she is so blessed when she has a frustrating disease called Dystonia. Well, I truly believe God gave Dystonia to me because He knew I could handle it with His grace and mercy. Also, God wouldn’t have given this disease to me if He knew I couldn’t handle it, and He is more than able. I believe God will give us trials in our lives that are never more than we can bear. I Corinthians 10:13. “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

This song “Blessings” is the most beautiful song and the words will hopefully encourage you.

Blessings by Laura Story

We pray for blessings
We pray for peace
Comfort for family, protection while we sleep
We pray for healing, for prosperity
We pray for Your mighty hand to ease our suffering
All the while, You hear each spoken need
Yet love is way too much to give us lesser things

‘Cause what if your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights are what it takes to know You’re near
What if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

We pray for wisdom
Your voice to hear
We cry in anger when we cannot feel You near
We doubt your goodness, we doubt your love
As if every promise from Your Word is not enough
All the while, You hear each desperate plea
And long that we’d have faith to believe

When friends betray us
When darkness seems to win
We know that pain reminds this heart
That this is not our home

What if my greatest disappointments
Or the aching of this life
Is the revealing of a greater thirst this world can’t satisfy
What if trials of this life
The rain, the storms, the hardest nights
Are your mercies in disguise

Beautiful! Thank you so much. Once again this arrived on the perfect day as I return home (hopefully) after the hurricane. It puts everything in the right perspective. It’s in God’s hands. Thank you!
