A month ago I was looking through a box from when I was a teenager, and I found this piece of paper with this verse I wrote on it.
The verse was First Corinthians 15:10, which says, “But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
I remember hearing a message on this verse at a youth conference in 2010. I don’t remember all the points in that message, but I remember hearing and reading those words, “But by the grace of God I am what I am” over and over. Realizing that I am nothing without God’s amazing grace.
So, when I found this piece of paper I was reminded once again that I am what I am because of God’s grace.
“Yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”
