This past week I checked off a task that I never thought I’d accomplish—I put clean sheets on my bed!!! It took about 45 minutes….but I did it! For most people, putting sheets on a bed is no big deal. My mom has made my bed since I can remember. I don’t know what made me want to try putting sheets on my bed. I probably thought, “How hard can it be?”
Learning how to do everyday tasks with just one hand (that has 25% dexterity) can be challenging at times. Being waited on hand and foot may sound glamorous, but I knew my parents wouldn’t have any of that! I have great parents, who made me figure out how to do things on my own, like getting dressed. Once I figured out how to do that minute task, now I get dressed without thinking.
Mathew 7:7-8 says,
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
So whether it’s needing patience with your kids or wishing your husband would actually listen to you—whatever your situation, know that God wants to help you, not only when there’s a crisis but also in your everyday life. He will provide your needs. Just like He provided manna in the wilderness for the Israelites and oil for the widow woman and her son. All throughout the Bible you’ll read how God provided for people
Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Hope this post was a blessing.
You are such a blessing!! God bless you!
