Wait On The Lord

Waiting…waiting…waiting. As an artist, I have to wait for the paint to dry completely in order to move on to the next part of my painting. Seems simple enough right?

Well, last night while painting the background on my canvas, I was just about to finish it when my brush somehow got purple mixed in with the yellow on my brush. This turned my sky a brownish orange instead of sunshine yellow. Disappointed, I had to wait for that part to dry so I could paint yellow over it.

In our lives God is the Master artist. Each of us are a masterpiece that have the potential of giving glory to Him. Maybe you are waiting on God to answer your prayer and it seems like it taking forever. Maybe God is waiting for the “paint” to dry in a area of your life. Or He’s waiting for you to yield in an area before He paints more. The Bible says in Psalm 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.

I don’t know what you’re waiting on God to do in your life. Maybe you need money for a car, maybe your prayers aren’t getting answered about this job you want. Or you may be like me, waiting on God to show you what the next step is in your life. May I encourage to wait on The Lord because He shall strengthen thine heart.

So true Abs…I have had to wait years for certain answers, and am still waiting on others. But when the answer comes, it brings such peace and joy. So, please wait with patience and trust!

Thank you! This was JUST what I needed at this moment. I’m not sure how I’m going to put it into practice…because that’s the hardest part. But I want to thank you for the reminder. Waiting is so hard. Even painful at times. God bless you!
