You Have Held Me Through Each Moment

The mountains look so high from the valley
And it feels like I’ve been here for so long.

There are days it seems I’ve been forgotten

But You give the strength to press on.

I must confess that I’ve known disappointment

But somehow I’m still here, and You’re still God.

Lord, I know You held me through each moment.

I have learned Your grace is enough.

Can you relate to these words from the song, “Find Me Faithful”? I know I can relate.

It’s hard to believe it has been a year since I had brain surgery. While the surgery has helped somewhat, it doesn’t mean the bad days just flew away forever. The title of the hymn, “I Don’t Know About Tomorrow,” literally reminds me of my life even more since I had the Deep Brain Stimulation surgery. I now have the responsibility to keep my batteries in my chest charged up. Plus I have to decide which setting I should use, or if I should change it to a different setting because I’m tighter today than I was yesterday. Sometimes I feel like I’m walking in circles and I don’t know what to do. Living day after day not knowing whether I’ll be tight or loose can get frustrating, but I’m still here, and God is still God. I didn’t make it here on my own. The Lord has held me through each and every moment I face. While life may get harder in the future, I’m so thankful that the Lord will be faithful as I continue on my journey.

You may be going through a disappointing time. You may be uncertain about your future. I don’t know what you’re going through, but may I encourage you with this comforting verse?

Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

I hope “Find Me Faithful” will be an encouragement to you.

Yet again…on a day when you could choose discouragement, you choose to encourage others. I praise the Lord for you and your choice!!! I’ve had a song going through my mind all week. I tried to find a link to send it to you, because it reminds me of you. It’s called
“I Choose” by Rodney Griffin. I cannot find it, so I’ll just tell you about it. The lyrics are such a blessing just as you are constantly a blessing to me.
    I love you!!❤️
