Written Years Ago, Still Speaking Now: A Look At The Top Ten Posts of 2025

As I look back over this year, what stands out most to me is this: the words that were read the most weren’t written recently. Many of them were written years ago—in different seasons, with different prayers, different fears, and different hopes. And yet, this year, God breathed fresh life into them.

That feels like a quiet testimony in itself. God is not rushed. Truth doesn’t expire. And faithfulness continues to speak long after the moment it was written in.

Here are the ten posts that resonated most this year—words shaped long ago, but still meeting readers right where they are.

To Count For Jesus? (2013)

This post came from a season of wrestling with what it truly means to live a life that counts. Not a loud life. Not a perfect one. Just a faithful one. I didn’t know then how many people would still be asking that same question years later.

I Sing Because… (2015)

Written in a time when singing wasn’t easy, this post was an offering of worship anyway. It reminds me that praise doesn’t depend on circumstances—it flows from trust. That truth has only deepened with time.

Sometimes We Wait (2014)

Waiting has marked many chapters of my life. When I wrote this, I didn’t know how long the waiting would last, or how familiar it would feel to others. Somehow, these words have continued to meet people right in the middle of their own waiting.

Highlights From Suffering Is Never For Nothing  (2019)

This reflection came from lessons I was still learning. Looking back, I can see how God was already teaching me that pain placed in His hands is never wasted—even when understanding comes much later.

“Upside Down” Encouragement (2019)

This encouragement was written during a season when life felt disoriented and uncertain. Reading it now, I’m reminded that God often works most clearly when everything feels turned upside down.

Thank You, Lord, For Changing Me Instead (2016)

This post was more prayer than prose. It marked a shift—from asking God to change circumstances, to thanking Him for changing my heart. Years later, I can see just how faithful He has been to answer that prayer.

Everyday, I’m Amazed! (2013)

Joy doesn’t have to be dramatic to be real. This post captured a season of noticing small mercies—daily noticed grace. The amazement has only grown deeper with time.

A Reflection of Your Grace (2015)

Grace anchored everything then, and it still does now. This reflection reminds me that God’s grace meets us exactly where we are and carries us through every season that follows.

12 Questions and Answers About My Writing Journey  (2024)

This post offered a window into the process behind the words—the calling, the doubts, and the obedience behind the writing. I wrote it after I published my book Unstuck, during a season of reflection on what God had carried me through and what He was continuing to teach me.

Looking back, it’s humbling to see how something written after that milestone—when I was still learning, still trusting, still growing—continues to encourage others years later. It reminds me that God uses our stories not just in the moment, but long after the chapter feels finished.

Sheltered By His Grace (2014)

This post came from a place of deep dependence. It reflects a season when God’s grace wasn’t just comforting—it was covering. Shelter is something you only understand when you truly need it.

These posts may be old, but the God who met me in those seasons is the same God meeting readers now. If something here feels timely for you, maybe it’s because God knew you’d need these words now—even if they were written long ago.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1

Thank you for reading! I pray these words will continue to encourage you throughout your journey.

This is so wonderful to see a hint of the impact Jesus is working through your blog. God breathes fresh life into us through your posts now and over the years. What you write is timeless and speaks to our hearts in new ways every time we revisit a post. Isaiah 55:11 ❤
